VoWiFi call charges are the standard rate for voice calls depending on what mobile plan that you are currently on. If your mobile plan comes with voice minutes, then the VoWiFi calls will utilise these minutes, else the calls will be charged the standard Pay-Per-Use rate of RM0.22 per minute.

There is no charge for activating VoWiFi. Just like VoLTE, it is free and has no activation fee.

No, you do not need to contact Customer Care or activate via Tune Talk app. All you need to do is ensure the following:

• Must activate VoLTE.
• Your device supports VoWiFi. Kindly refer to the list of supported devices.
• Your device is currently running on the latest OS version.

In general, you may enable VoWiFi by the following steps:

Android devices:
Go to Settings > Mobile Network > Mobile Data> WiFi Calling > Enable WiFi Calling/VoWiFi

iOS devices:
Go to Settings > Mobile Data> Data plans > WiFi Calling > Enable WiFi Calling

• VoLTE or Voice over LTE offers superior voice quality as compared to VoWiFi. Users can still have their data session on while being active on a call.
• VoWiFi or Voice over WiFi uses the WiFi network to make calls on HD. VoWiFi improves call reliability indoors, regardless of your mobile signal strength.

• For Android devices, a “VoWiFi” logo will appear on the top status bar of your phone.
• For iPhone, you will see the word “WiFi Calling” after your carrier name.

Yes, you should be able to us the VoWiFi service with any WiFi Hotspots. However, this is subject to the WiFi service provider as VoWiFi calls can be blocked by the WiFi provider using certain router configuration.

Here are a few possible reasons:

• VoWiFi requires an adequate WiFi signal strength (with a minimum bandwidth of 25 kbps before initiating the automatic connection to WiFi Calling. You can try to move to an area where the signal strength is stronger);
• If the WiFi network has a captive portal (e.g. Starbucks will require you to log in), you may have to launch the browser and sign into the network with the provided username/password;
• For public WiFi network, the provider may have policies in place to block WiFi calling services;
• For private WiFi network (i.e. Company WiFi), the company that you work for may have policies in place to block WiFi calling service;
• Your device may have not fulfilled the pre-requisites for the VoWiFi service (i.e. the device does not support VoWiFi and does not run on the latest software version);
• You may not have sufficient credit balance in your prepaid account to make calls.
