Tune Talk announces the appointment of two new board members—Encik Mohd Azmi bin Mat Nayan and Dato’ Sasikala Devi Subramaniam—marking a significant step forward in reinforcing the company’s leadership and vision. This move follows the passing of board member,
the late Datuk Azzat bin Kamaludin, in May 2025. His legacy of integrity, legal acumen, and corporate governance will continue to guide the company’s values and future.
The new appointments signal Tune Talk’s continued transformation and commitment to strong, principled leadership as the company accelerates its position as a bold and people-first telecommunications provider.
Encik Mohd Azmi bin Mat Nayan, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Madani Research Centre, brings with him a deep understanding of capital markets, business development, and strategic economic planning. Under his stewardship, the Centre has been instrumental in advancing Malaysia’s MADANI framework, focusing on sustainable development, socio-economic upliftment, and inclusive governance.
“I am honored to join Tune Talk at a pivotal moment of growth,” said Mohd Azmi. “This is more than a board appointment—it’s a call to align business strategy with national impact. I look forward to contributing to a telco brand that champions value, resilience, and innovation for all Malaysians.”
Complementing this strategic perspective is the appointment of Dato’ Sasikala Devi Subramaniam, a respected figure in Malaysia’s law enforcement landscape. With over 35 years of service in the Commercial Crime Investigation Department and the Narcotics Crime Investigation Department, Dato’ Sasikala is recognized for her unwavering commitment to justice, discipline, and public trust. Her tenure as the former Deputy Police Chief of Selangor stands as a testament to her dedication to leadership in high-stakes environments.
“Integrity is the foundation of any trusted institution,” said Dato’ Sasikala. “I am proud to bring my lifelong commitment to service and ethical leadership to a company that values transparency, community, and forward-thinking policies.”
Gurtaj Singh Padda, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of Tune Talk, expressed his confidence in the new board appointments:
“The addition of Encik Azmi and Dato’ Sasikala reflects our ongoing efforts to build a board that is diverse, dynamic, and grounded in real impact. Both bring unique lenses—one rooted in national policy and economic empowerment, and the other in integrity and public service. Together, they embody the future Tune Talk is building; connected, responsible, and people-first.”
With these new members and the broader leadership team, Tune Talk reaffirms its ambition to be a mobile network operator that not only competes—but leads—on trust, value, and innovation.
