Tune Talk Head of Marketing, Jill Yeap with the AI Series 1 winner, Jester Ho
Tune Talk is putting its people at the heart of innovation. The digital telco recently crowned a winner in its first-ever internal Tune Talk AI Challenge Series, a key initiative aimed at sparking creativity, unlocking fresh thinking, and turning big ideas into business impact.
Held earlier this month, the Tune Talk AI Challenge Series is part of a broader employee engagement and upskilling series, aligning with Tune Talk’s AI-Driven Digital Transformation roadmap. In true Tune Talk style, the competition wasn’t just about participation—it came with real incentives, including monetary rewards and the opportunity for winning ideas to be explored as future brand offerings or USPs.
“This isn’t just about learning AI—it’s about challenging ourselves to think differently and use technology to solve real problems,” said Gurtaj Singh Padda, CEO of Tune Talk. “We’ve always believed our people are our strongest asset, and this challenge was our way of saying: your ideas matter, and they can shape the future of Tune Talk.”
The winning project has already been greenlit for implementation, with the potential to enhance customer experience and brand retention.
The challenge is more than just an internal exercise. It’s designed to nurture employees’ creativity and explore how their AI-driven concepts could integrate into Tune Talk’s real-world offerings—from product innovation to customer experience improvements.
And this is only the beginning.

The telco is also planning to potentially expand the challenge series to the public, allowing subscribers and aspiring AI talents nationwide to take part. More details on that will be announced soon.
Alongside the challenge, Tune Talk has rolled out company-wide AI training sessions—from prompt engineering to practical tools—ensuring every employee, regardless of role, is empowered to lead in a digital-first world.
“As we continue building, testing, and transforming, the focus is clear: AI isn’t here to replace anyone—it’s here to amplify the ideas and ingenuity of the people behind the brand,” added Gurtaj.
With creativity, community, and culture leading the way, Tune Talk’s AI journey is gaining serious momentum—and it all starts from within.
