What is the Malaysia Traveller SIM?
It’s a prepaid SIM plan from Tune Talk available in three Plans — Travel LITE, Travel FAST and Travel UNLIMITED — offering local data, unlimited local calls, and E-Roaming data on selected plans.
Who can subscribe to the Malaysia Traveller SIM?
Anyone aged 12 years or above who holds a valid Malaysian NRIC or a valid passport.
How many Malaysia Traveller SIMs can I register?
You may register up to:
- Malaysian Subscribers: up to 5 SIMs.
- Non-Malaysian Subscribers: up to 2 SIMs.
Do I need to complete registration before I can use my SIM?
Registration is required. Kindly ensure to bring your valid NRIC & Passport during SIM redemption.
Where do I collect my physical SIM?
Physical SIMs can be collected at your selected airport collection location. please bring your order confirmation upon collection
Can I use hotspot / tethering on my Malaysia Traveller SIM?
Hotspot / Tethering can only be use in Malaysia. — hotspot usage is deducted from your main Internet data quota. Hotspot and tethering are not available while using Free Global E-Roaming overseas.
Does 5G come with every Plans?
5G/4G network access is available across all plans, replace with subjected to actual availability and quality depend on network coverage, your device’s compatibility, network conditions and other technical factors.
What is Free Global E-Roaming?
It’s the international roaming data benefit included with the Travel UNLIMITED plans.
Which countries are covered?
Currently: Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, India, Vietnam, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Cambodia, Australia, New Zealand and Brunei. This list is subject to Tune Talk’s arrangements with its Roaming Partner Networks and may be updated from time to time.
Does Free Global E-Roaming cover calls and SMS when I’m overseas?
Free Global E-Roaming covers data usage only. Calls, SMS, premium services and other chargeable roaming services are not included.
Can I use hotspot or tethering while roaming?
Hotspot and tethering are not available while using Free Global E-Roaming — hotspot is for local use in Malaysia only.
What do I need to do before I travel?
Before you travel, make sure data roaming is enable on and your device’s APN (Access Point Name) setting is configured to “tunetalk”, both are needed for Free Global E-Roaming to work correctly overseas.
Is coverage and speed the same in every listed country?
Free Global E-Roaming is facilitated through Tune Talk’s Roaming Partner Networks in each destination, quality, speed and coverage can vary depending on that partner network’s infrastructure, technical capabilities and conditions. A Fair Usage Policy may also apply and can differ by destination or partner.

What happens when my Plan expires?
You may subscribe to the same Plan again within the 2-day Grace Period from the date of expiry to receive a new main Internet data quota.
How many times can I resubscribe?
You may resubscribe to the Plan up to 2 times. After the second resubscription, the SIM will expire and can no longer be used.
