Tune Talk NextGen Contest T&Cs
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the participation in the Tune Talk NextGen Social Media Contest (“NextGen” or “Contest”) provided by Tune Talk Sdn. Bhd. (“Tune Talk”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By participating in our Tune Talk NextGen Contest, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
- Contest Period
- The Contest shall commence on 1 July 2026 and will conclude on 30 November 2026, both dates inclusive (“Contest period”).
- Tune Talk reserves the right to amend, extend or terminate the Contest Period at any time without prior notice.
- Eligibility Criteria
- This Contest is open to all Malaysian University students (aged 18-25) nationwide.
- Participants do not need to be existing Tune Talk subscribers to enter to win.
- Employees of Tune Talk, its affiliates, advertising agencies, and immediate family members are not eligible to participate.
- Submission guidelines
- To participate, eligible students must:
- Create: Produce a short advertisement video using AI-generated tools (visuals/graphics) that positively promotes Tune Talk.
- Post: Upload the video onto their personal Instagram account with both hashtags: “#TuneTalk” and “#TuneTalkNextGen”.
- Public Profile: Ensure their Instagram account is set to “Public” throughout the Contest Period so submissions can be tracked and verified.
- Submissions must not contain any material that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, offensive, or racially or religiously sensitive. Tune Talk reserves the right to disqualify any submission that violates these parameters or utilizes fraudulent engagement tactics (e.g., bot views).
- To participate, eligible students must:
- Winner Selection and Engagement Metrics
- The winners will be selected on a Creativity-Based judgment framework. The top three (3) videos will be selected by the Tune Talk panel.
- Monthly shortlisting and verification
- A student will be shortlisted monthly throughout the campaign.
- Tune Talk’s Social Media and Customer Care teams will contact shortlisted participants via Instagram Direct Message to verify their identity.
- Shortlisted participants must provide their Full Name and a valid Student ID to confirm their student status.
- Once the shortlisted participants have confirmed their student status, they would also need to provide a National Identity Card (IC) copy and a signed consent form.
- Failure to provide verification details within seven (7) working days may result in disqualification.
- Prizes and Internship placement
- A total cash prize pool of RM10,000 will be awarded to three (3) distinct winners distributed as follows:
- Grand prize: RM5,000 cash
- Runner-up: RM3,000 cash
- 2nd Runner-up: RM2,000 cash
- 6-Month Internship Placement
- All three (3) winners will be offered a 6-Month Internship Placement with Tune Talk.
- Voluntary basis: Acceptance of the internship position is entirely voluntary and at the discretion of the winner.
- This optional internship cannot be held or “saved” indefinitely.
- This optional internship does not constitute a guarantee of permanent future employment at Tune Talk.
- This offer only remains valid for a maximum of twelve (12) months from the official winner announcement date. If the winner is unable to utilize the internship within this time frame, the internship offer automatically expires, is forfeited, and cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred.
- The internship is subject to Tune Talk’s internal People and Culture Department policies, following internal confirmation, standard onboarding procedures, and background checks and standard allowance applies.
- Cash prizes will still be awarded even if a winner declines the internship offer.
- A total cash prize pool of RM10,000 will be awarded to three (3) distinct winners distributed as follows:
- Intellectual property rights
- By submitting a video for this Contest, participants grant Tune Talk a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to use, reproduce, edit, publish, display, and distribute the video (or any part thereof) for marketing, promotional, and PR purposes across website and social media channels without further compensation.
- Participants warrant that their entry is original, does not infringe on the intellectual property rights of any third party, and that they have the right to utilize the AI tools used in the creation of the submission.
- Privacy and Data Protection
- Personal data collected (including Full Name and Student ID) will be used solely for the verification of eligibility and prize fulfilment, legal identity validation, HR vetting, and statutory tax reporting for cash prize distribution.
- No personal data will be shared with external third parties. All personal information collected will be processed in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) and Tune Talk’s Privacy Policy.
- General
- These Terms shall be read together with Tune Talk’s general terms and conditions, privacy policy, and any other applicable product-specific terms issued by Tune Talk from time to time.
- If this document is electronically signed by either party, the Parties hereby affirm that the electronic signatures have been affixed with the due authorization of each Party and that Parties intend for the electronic signatures to carry the same weight, effect and meaning as hand-signed wet-ink signatures.
- In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms and Tune Talk’s general terms and conditions, Tune Talk shall determine the prevailing terms to the extent permitted by law.
- Tune Talk shall not be held liable for any technical disruptions, network outages, or issues on the Instagram platform that may prevent a participant from uploading their entry or affect view/engagement metrics.
- Tune Talk reserves the right to amend, vary, modify, or change any part of these Terms, including the prize structures, at any time without prior notice. Changes will take effect immediately upon being published on Tune Talk’s official website or social media channels.
- Tune Talk’s decision on all matters relating to the Contest, including winner selection and eligibility verification, is final and binding. No correspondence or appeals will be entertained.
- These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Malaysia.
- Notwithstanding anything to the contrary written in this Agreement, the liabilities and obligations of the Parties under this Agreement which, by their terms or by their nature should survive termination or completion of this Agreement, shall survive termination or completion of this Agreement.
