Take Your Full, Unthrottled Domestic Data Across Borders, All 500GB of It, and Roam as if You’re at Home

International travel has long come with a quiet trade‑off. The moment a traveller lands, their digital life narrows. Data becomes finite. Speeds slow. Connectivity turns into a calculation.

Tune Talk is changing that equation.

Asia’s fastest-growing fully cloud native Mobile Network Operator has launched Tune Talk E–Roaming (Enhanced Roaming). In a bold departure from traditional telco models, the breakthrough prepaid service allows subscribers to take their entire domestic data allocation abroad at full speed, roam seamlessly with no additional charge.

For the first time, Malaysian prepaid customers can use their smartphones across borders exactly as they do at home—instantly auto-connecting upon landing without the need to purchase restrictive travel passes, activate secondary eSIMs.

“We asked a simple question,” said Gurtaj Singh Padda, Co‑Founder and CEO of Tune Talk. “Why should your phone behave differently just because you crossed a border? E‑Roaming means your data travels with you — seamlessly, at full speed, and without surprise charges.”

Challenging the Roaming Model

International roaming has traditionally been treated as a premium add‑on — tightly capped and sold separately as a high‑margin revenue stream. Travellers routinely pay for short‑term roaming services or subscribe to global eSIM plans with limited allocations and reduced speeds.

Instead of positioning roaming as a monetised bolt-on, E-Roaming is built directly into the RM50 Epik+ 50 plan. There is no registration, activation code, or separate roaming package required. Upon arrival in any of the 13 countries, subscribers experience hassle-free connectivity as their devices auto-connect instantly, allowing them to use their existing data allocation.

“This represents a paradigm shift in telecom economics,” added Padda. “While traditional carriers continue to treat international roaming as a high‑margin, pay‑as‑you‑go profit centre, Tune Talk is absorbing these costs directly. By embedding premium, unthrottled global roaming into a standard local plan, we are transforming a long‑standing consumer pain point into a powerful driver of subscriber acquisition and retention.”

The World’s First

Tune Talk describes Epik+ 50 with E-Roaming as the world’s first auto connect, friction-free prepaid plan with roaming that combine five attributes within a single offering: prepaid structure, complimentary roaming, full 500GB home data allocation, full speed, and coverage across 13 countries.¹

13 Countries. Seamless Connectivity.

E-Roaming is live across Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, the Philippines, Cambodia, Brunei, Japan, South Korea, India, Saudi Arabia, Australia, and New Zealand, destinations that represent most outbound Malaysian travel.

Priced at RM50 per month, Epik+ 50 delivers approximately RM156 in total monthly value back when benchmarked against comparable roaming passes, insurance products, and digital subscriptions. The result is a prepaid plan that integrates connectivity, protection, and lifestyle benefits, seamlessly, at home and abroad.

Tune Talk E-Roaming is also available across Epik+ Family, and Epik+ Family Safe plans, ensuring that all subscribers — including children on family plans — can stay connected seamlessly while travelling abroad.

E‑Roaming is now available via the Tune Talk mobile app and at www.tunetalk.com/eroaming.
