Roam as Home (E-Roaming) Service T&Cs

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the access to and use of the Roam as Home (E-Roaming) service (“E-Roaming” or “Service”) made available by Tune Talk Sdn. Bhd. (Company No. 730808-M) (“Tune Talk”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) through the Tune Talk Selfcare Application (“Tune Talk App”) and other official Tune Talk channels.
By activating or using the Roam as Home (E-Roaming) service, you (“Subscriber” or “you”) agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not activate or use the Service. These Terms are to be read together with Tune Talk’s General Terms and Conditions of Service and Privacy Policy, as may be amended from time to time.
- Definitions
For the purpose of these Terms:- “E-Roaming” means the standard E-Roaming coverage covering the thirteen (13) Complimentary E-Roaming Countries specified in Clause 4, provided at no additional monthly charge to Embedded Plan Subscribers.
- “Daily Data Allowance” means the allocated mobile data of two (2) gigabytes (2GB) per calendar day provided to the Subscriber while roaming, as imposed by the applicable Roaming Partner Network. Actual speeds and availability are subject to Roaming Partner Network conditions.
- “Embedded Plan” means any Tune Talk subscription plan wherein E-Roaming is included as an integral benefit at no additional monthly cost, specifically Epik+ Family, Epik+ Family Safe, and Epik+ 50.
- “Roaming-Eligible Subscriber” means any Subscriber on an Eligible Plan with an active E-Roaming.
- “Roaming Partner Network” means any foreign mobile network operator with which Tune Talk has an operative roaming agreement for the provision of the E-Roaming service.
- Eligibility and Service Activation
- The E-Roaming service is available exclusively to Subscribers on an Eligible Plan. Subscribers on plans not designated as Eligible Plans may not access the Service.
- E-Roaming is automatically activated for Embedded Plan Subscribers (Epik+ Family, Epik+ Family Safe, Epik+ 50) as part of their plan entitlement. No separate subscription is required.
- The Subscriber is solely responsible for ensuring their mobile device is compatible with international roaming, supports the relevant frequency bands of the Roaming Partner Networks, and is appropriately configured prior to travel.
- Tune Talk reserves the right to verify eligibility and decline or revoke E-Roaming access at its sole discretion without prior notice.

- Embedded Plan Subscribers (Epik+ Family / Epik+ Family Safe / Epik+ 50)
- Subscribers on Embedded Plans are entitled to E-Roaming coverage across the thirteen (13) Complimentary E-Roaming Countries as a plan benefit at no additional monthly charge.
- The E-Roaming benefit under Embedded Plans is non-transferable and non-refundable.
- Plan Summary

- The Complimentary E-Roaming package provides coverage in the following thirteen (13) countries:
Basic E-Roaming — Covered Countries (13 Countries) Japan Thailand Indonesia Singapore India Vietnam Philippines South Korea Saudi Arabia Cambodia New Zealand Australia Brunei - The list of Complimentary E-Roaming Countries is subject to change. Tune Talk will endeavour to provide reasonable advance notice of material changes through its official channels.
- Service availability in each Complimentary E-Roaming Country is contingent on the operative status of roaming agreements with the relevant Roaming Partner Networks and may be affected by network outages, regulatory changes, or cessation of roaming arrangements.
- The Complimentary E-Roaming package provides coverage in the following thirteen (13) countries:
- Daily Data Allowance and Fair Use Policy
- The Daily Data Allowance under the E-Roaming service is 2GB per calendar day, consistent across all Eligible Plans. This limit is imposed at the level of the Roaming Partner Network and applies regardless of the Subscriber’s domestic plan entitlements.
- The Daily Data Allowance resets at 00:00 Malaysian Standard Time (GMT+8) each calendar day. Unused daily allowance shall not accumulate or carry over to any subsequent day.
- Upon exhaustion of the Daily Data Allowance, roaming data access may be suspended or throttled by the Roaming Partner Network for the remainder of that calendar day.
- The E-Roaming data allowance is for the Subscriber’s personal use only. The Subscriber shall not use the Service for commercial tethering, resale, or any purpose inconsistent with Tune Talk’s Fair Use Policy, which is primarily imposed at the Roaming Partner Network level.
- Tune Talk reserves the right to suspend or terminate the Service where usage is determined to be excessive, abusive, or inconsistent with fair personal use.
- Charges, Billing, and Payment
- All charges under these Terms are quoted in Ringgit Malaysia (RM) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
- Tune Talk reserves the right to revise applicable charges upon thirty (30) days’ advance notice communicated through Tune Talk’s official website, application, or other designated channels.
- Service Scope and Exclusions
- The E-Roaming service is contingent on the coverage and quality of Roaming Partner Networks. Tune Talk does not warrant uninterrupted, error-free, or quality-equivalent service in any roaming destination.
- Certain applications, services, or websites may be restricted, blocked, or unavailable in specific countries due to local regulatory requirements. Tune Talk shall not be liable for any inability to access such content while roaming.
- The E-Roaming service does not include access to Tune Talk’s domestic promotional data, bonus data, or supplementary data packages.
- While E-Roaming is designed to provide an experience comparable to domestic usage (Roam as Home), the Service is subject to international network conditions, and Tune Talk does not guarantee parity with the Subscriber’s domestic service experience.
- Roaming Partner Networks
- The E-Roaming service is facilitated through Tune Talk’s agreements with international Roaming Partner Networks. Tune Talk does not own, operate, or control any Roaming Partner Network.
- Network availability, speeds, and coverage in any roaming destination are determined by and subject to the policies and infrastructure of the relevant Roaming Partner Network.
- Fair Use Policy (FUP) restrictions in any roaming destination are primarily imposed at the Roaming Partner Network level and may differ from Tune Talk’s domestic FUP.
- Tune Talk maintains the right to make changes to the E-Roaming service, including the list of supported countries and Roaming Partner Networks, as necessitated by changes in roaming agreements, regulatory requirements, or operational considerations.
- Suspension and Termination
- The E-Roaming service shall automatically cease upon termination, expiry, or downgrade of the Subscriber’s Eligible Plan.
- The monthly Add-On shall be suspended or cancelled upon non-renewal, insufficient balance, or cancellation of the subscription by the Subscriber.
- Tune Talk reserves the right to suspend or terminate the E-Roaming service, in whole or in part, without prior notice, in the event of:
- breach of these Terms or Tune Talk’s General Terms and Conditions of Service;
- uspected fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful use of the Service;
- non-payment or sustained insufficient account balance; or
- regulatory, technical, security, or operational necessity.
- Termination of the E-Roaming service does not relieve the Subscriber of outstanding obligations or charges accrued prior to termination.
- Personal Data and Privacy
- Tune Talk shall process the Subscriber’s personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy and in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Malaysia) (“PDPA”).
- By using the E-Roaming service, the Subscriber consents to Tune Talk sharing necessary personal data with Roaming Partner Networks and relevant third parties to the extent required to deliver the Service, in accordance with the PDPA and applicable data protection laws.
- Limitation of Liability
- To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Tune Talk shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or in connection with the E-Roaming service, including loss of data, revenue, business, or opportunity.
- Tune Talk’s aggregate liability to any Subscriber in connection with the E-Roaming service shall not exceed the total charges paid for the E-Roaming service in the three (3) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
- Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Malaysian law.
- Amendments
- Tune Talk reserves the right to amend, update, or revise these Terms at any time without prior notice.
- The latest version of these Terms shall prevail and will be made available through the Tune Talk App, Tune Talk website, or other official communication channels.
- Continued use of the E-Roaming service after any amendment constitutes the Subscriber’s acceptance of the revised Terms. If the Subscriber does not accept the amended Terms, the Subscriber must discontinue use of the Service and notify Tune Talk accordingly.
- Governing Law
- These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia.
- Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia. Prior to commencing legal proceedings, the Subscriber is encouraged to contact Tune Talk’s customer care for resolution, and may also refer the matter to the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).
