Tune Talk Epik+ Family Safe T&Cs

These Terms and Conditions (β€œTerms”) govern the subscription and use of the Tune Talk Epik+ Family Safe service (β€œEpik+ Family Safe” or β€œService”) provided by Tune Talk Sdn. Bhd. (β€œTune Talk”, β€œwe”, β€œus”, or β€œour”). By subscribing to or using Epik+ Family Safe, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
    1. Service Description
      1. Epik+ Family Safe is a family mobile plan that allows one (1) principal subscriber to maintain a family arrangement under one Parent Line together with up to four (4) linked Child Lines.
      2. The Service includes shared mobile benefits, calls, Rome as Home (E-Roaming) benefit, insurance benefit, and family safety features, including parental control functions that allow the Parent Line holder to manage internet access and protection settings for each Child Line.
      3. The Service is offered on a 30-day validity basis unless otherwise stated by Tune Talk.
    2. Eligibility
      1. The Service is open to all existing and new Tune Talk subscribers who successfully subscribe through the Tune Talk App.
      2. The principal subscriber under the Service shall be the Parent Line holder and shall be responsible for Epik+ Family Safe through channels authorized by Tune Talk.
      3. Subject to Tune Talk’s prevailing requirements, a subscriber may register under the same tariff with another authorized dealer using the same NRIC or other accepted identification document, provided all applicable verification and eligibility conditions are met.
      4. Tune Talk reserves the right to verify eligibility and to approve, reject, suspend, or terminate any subscription, registration, or linked line request at its sole discretion.
    3. Plan Structure, Pricing and Benefits
      1. Epik+ Family Safe consists of one (1) Parent Line and up to four (4) Child Lines, provided that sufficient registration slots are available under the Parent’s ID.
      2. The current plan structure is as follows:

        Roam as Home (E-Roaming) Benefit Included, (subject to any applicable roaming data Fair Usage Policy (FUP) imposed by the respective roaming partner)
      3. The first Child Line is included within the base package. Each additional Child Line shall be charged at RM20 per line, or such other amount as may be determined by Tune Talk from time to time.
      4. The Parent Line holder may add up to a maximum of four (4) Child Lines per registered identity, subject to Tune Talk’s verification and system eligibility rules.
      5. The Service may include the following additional benefits, subject always to Tune Talk’s prevailing offer and applicable terms:

        Personal Accident Insurance Up to RM500,000 total, capped at RM100,000 per person, subject to applicable terms
      6. All benefits, quota, usage treatment, destination coverage, and entitlements are subject to Tune Talk’s prevailing terms, fair usage rules, partner availability, and service limitations.
    4. Roam as Home (E-Roaming) Benefit
      1. Epik+ Family Safe includes E-Roaming under the Roam as Home concept, subject to Tune Talk’s prevailing roaming terms, supported destinations, partner network availability, and system capability.
      2. Under Roam as Home (E-Roaming), eligible roaming usage will be deducted from the subscriber’s existing Epik+ Family Safe shared data quota, subject to the applicable daily roaming Fair Usage Policy imposed by the applicable roaming partner.
      3. The Roam as Home (E-Roaming) benefit is available in selected complimentary countries as determined by Tune Talk from time to time.
      4. The Roam as home (E-Roaming) benefit is subject to a roaming Fair Usage Policy, imposed by Tune Talk international roaming partners from time to time.
      5. The selected complimentary countries may include Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, India, Vietnam, Philippines, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Cambodia, New Zealand, Australia, and Brunei.
      6. Roaming coverage, speed, service quality, network availability, and access may vary depending on the destination country, overseas network operator, device compatibility, local regulations, and any restrictions imposed by Tune Talk’s roaming partners.
      7. Tune Talk reserves the right to determine, revise, suspend, substitute, remove, or withdraw any roaming country, roaming benefit, roaming quota, price, partner network, or related feature at any time, with or without prior notice.
    5. Subscription, Payment and Renewal
      1. Subscription to the Service shall be subject to the applicable charges imposed by Tune Talk for the selected package tier.
      2. Accepted payment methods may include credit card, debit card, Touch ’n Go auto debit, and any other payment methods approved by Tune Talk from time to time.
      3. Auto-renewal shall be turned on by default upon subscription. By subscribing, you expressly authorize Tune Talk to deduct the applicable recurring fees using your selected and saved payment method. Where the subscription is purchased via online banking, the Subscriber must add and save a payment method for the purpose of future auto-renewal deductions.
      4. If the auto-renewal charge to the Subscriber’s default payment method is unsuccessful, Tune Talk may attempt to process the charge using the Subscriber’s secondary saved payment method, if available. If all saved payment methods fail, the Subscriber will be required to update an existing payment method or add a new payment method to continue the subscription and complete the renewal.
      5. Renewal charges shall be based on the active package tier and the total number of active linked lines under the Service at the time of renewal, including additional Child Lines where applicable.
      6. If payment or renewal fails for any reason, Tune Talk may suspend, restrict, downgrade, or terminate the Service or any part thereof without prior notice.
      7. All payments made are non-refundable unless otherwise stated by Tune Talk or required by law.
      8. No prorated refund, rebate, credit, or compensation will be provided for any unused portion of the Service if the Service is terminated, cancelled, suspended, detached, migrated, or changed before the end of the validity period, unless otherwise determined by Tune Talk or required by law.
    6. Shared Data, Calls and Usage Monitoring
      1. All Child Lines under Epik+ Family Safe shall use the shared family data pool and shared family call entitlement under the subscribed package.
      2. Roaming data usage under Roam As Home (E-Roaming) will be deducted from the existing shared family data quota and is subject to the applicable daily roaming Fair Usage Policy imposed by the applicable roaming partner.
      3. Usage monitoring for the Service shall be available through the Tune Talk App via the Parent Line account only, subject to system availability.
      4. Tune Talk does not guarantee the timeliness, completeness, or accuracy of displayed usage information, which may be subject to delay, synchronization timing, or system processing limitations.
      5. All usage is subject to fair usage and shall be for normal personal use only. Tune Talk may manage, restrict, suspend, or limit the Service if usage is excessive, abnormal, abusive, commercial, or affects network performance or service quality.
      6. Any unused data quota under Epik+ Family Safe will not be carried forward to the next subscription cycle and will be forfeited upon expiry of the current validity period.
    7. Child Line Access and Restrictions
      1. Child Lines under Epik+ Family Safe are maintained under the Parent Line’s management structure.
      2. Child Line users shall not be entitled to independently log in to the Tune Talk App while the line remains linked under the Service.
      3. Child Lines shall not be entitled to independently purchase a separate plan while such line remains linked under the Service.
      4. Any line that wishes to subscribe independently must first be detached from the Service and complete such verification, migration, and plan subscription steps as required by Tune Talk.
      5. Port-in services are not available for Child Lines under Epik+ Family Safe. Any line intended to be added as a Child Line must comply with Tune Talk’s applicable registration, verification, and line-linking process.
      6. Any line that wishes to subscribe independently must first be detached from the Service and complete such verification, migration, and plan subscription steps as required by Tune Talk.
    8. Parent Line Management Right
      1. Subject to system availability, the Parent Line holder may manage linked Child Line through the Tune Talk App, including:
        Parent Line Action Availability
        Add Child Line Subject to verification and eligibility
        Remove Child Line Subject to applicable conditions
        Fully block internet access Subject to system availability
        Restore internet access Subject to system availability
        Select or change protection level Subject to cooling-off period, if applicable
        Edit Child Line name Subject to naming rules
      2. The Parent Line holder is solely responsible for all actions, settings, requests, and charges applied to the linked Child Lines.
      3. Tune Talk may impose verification, cooling-off, technical, payment, and operational conditions on any such action.
    9. Adding Child Lines
      1. A Child Line may be added by the Parent Line holder in accordance with the registration, verification, and payment flow made available by Tune Talk.
      2. The addition of a Child Line may require submission of supporting identification or verification documents, including child identification documents where required by Tune Talk.
      3. The first Child Line is included in the base package. Each subsequent Child Line added shall be subject to an additional fee of RM20 per line, or such other fee as Tune Talk may determine from it, from time to time.
      4. Tune Talk reserves the right to accept, reject, delay, or cancel any Child Line addition where eligibility, verification, payment, or system requirements are not met.
    10. Parental Control Features
      1. A key feature of Epik+ Family Safe is its parental control functionality, which allows the Parent Line holder to manage internet accessibility and protection settings for each Child Line.
      2. Subject to system availability, the Parent Line holder may for each Child Line:
        1. Fully block internet access; or
        2. Allow internet access to a selected protection level.
      3. The available protection levels may include:
        1. High Protection.
        2. Medium Protection; and
        3. Low Protection, or
        4. Such other protection levels as Tune Talk may be made available from time to time.
      4. The protection levels are intended to provide different levels of browsing restriction and content filtering.
      5. For ease of reference, the protection level positioning is generally as follows:
        Protection Level Typical Positioning
        High Protection Strict protection for safer browsing.
        Medium Protection Balanced protection for teen browsing.
        Low Protection Basic protection for open browsing.
      6. Depending on the selected protection level, the treatment may generally operate as follows:
        Protection Level Block / Restricts Allows
        High Protection Adult content, unsafe websites, violence, weapons, drugs, alcohol, gambling, dating, social media, chat, forums, games, shopping, entertainment, advertisements, downloads, bypass tools, spam, and uncategorized websites. Educational, government, health, search, email, news, finance, music, travel, and other generally safe websites.
        Medium Protection Adult content, unsafe websites, violence, weapons, drugs, alcohol, gambling, dating, social media, chat, forums, entertainment, advertisements, downloads, bypass tools, spam, and uncategorized websites. Games, shopping, education, government, health, search, email, news, finance, music, travel, and general browsing.
        Low Protection Adult content, unsafe websites, violence, weapons, drugs, alcohol, gambling, dating, advertisements, downloads, bypass tools, spam, and uncategorized websites. Social media, chat, forums, games, shopping, entertainment, education, search, email, news, finance, music, travel, and general browsing.
      7. The categories of content, websites, applications, services, or online activities that are blocked, restricted, filtered, or allowed under each protection level are indicative only and shall be determined and configured by Tune Talk and/or its service providers from time to time. Tune Talk reserves the right to modify, add, remove, or reclassify such categories without prior notice.
      8. The Parent Line holder may change the protection level applicable to a Child Line through the available channels, subject to any applicable cooling-off period or system limitations. Currently, a protection level change may be subject to a cooling-off period of up to ten (10) minutes before another change can be made.
      9. Tune Talk does not warrant or guarantee that any parental control feature, protection level, content filtering, or internet blocking mechanism will be fully effective, uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or capable of preventing access to all content, websites, applications, platforms, services, or online risks.
      10. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Tune Talk shall not be liable for any loss, damage, claim, liability, cost, or expense arising from or in connection with any content that is accessed, blocked, delayed, filtered, misclassified, or made unavailable, or from the use, misuse, non-use, malfunction, limitation, or circumvention of any parental control feature or protection level.
    11. Edit Child Name
      1. The Parent Line holder may edit the Child Line name shown within the account management interface, subject to system availability.
      2. The Child Line name may be limited to 30 characters and may consist of letters and numbers only, subject to Tune Talk’s prevailing system rules.
      3. Tune Talk reserves the right to reject, remove, or amend any name entry that is inappropriate, misleading, offensive, unlawful, or technically unsupported.
    12. Removal, Detachment, and Port-Out
      1. Removal or detachment of a Child Line must be initiated through the Parent Line account, subject to Tune Talk’s prevailing rules and verification requirements.
      2. Where a Child Line user reaches 18 years of age or above and wishes to maintain an individual line, the applicable detachment, eKYC, plan selection, and payment process shall apply.
      3. A RM10 detachment fee shall apply, or such other fees as Tune Talk may determine from time to time.
      4. Upon detachment, the line must subscribe to an eligible Tune Talk Epik Plan as specified by Tune Talk at the relevant time. The currently indicated eligible plans may include Epik+ 28, Epik+ 35, or Epik+ 50, subject to change by Tune Talk.
      5. A line under Epik+ Family Safe must first be detached from the Service and be placed under an eligible Tune Talk Epik+ Plan before any port-out request may be processed
    13. SIM Replacement
      1. SIM replacement for a Child Line may be requested through the Parent Line account, subject to Tune Talk’s prevailing process, verification requirement, and system support.
      2. Tune Talk reserves the right to require additional verification or supporting information before processing any SIM replacement request.
    14. Suspension, Restriction and Termination
      1. Tune Talk may suspend, restrict, vary, or terminate the Service or any part thereof, with or without prior notice, if:
        1. You breach these Terms;
        2. Payment or renewal fails;
        3. Any eligibility requirement is no longer met;
        4. Misuse, fraud, abuse, or suspicious activity is detected; or
        5. Such action is necessary for legal, regulatory, technical, security, or operational reasons.
      2. Upon suspension or termination, any linked benefits, entitlements, or Child Line features under the Service may be withdrawn, suspended, or forfeited without compensation.
    15. Disclaimer
      1. The Service is provided on an β€œas is” and β€œas available” basis
      2. Tune Talk does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability of the Service, the Tune Talk App, roaming benefits, parental control features, or any family management feature.
      3. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tune Talk disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, satisfactory quality, non-infringement, or fitness for a particular purpose.
      4. Tune Talk shall not be liable for any loss, damage, cost, or inconvenience arising from service interruption, technical limitation, failed filtering, blocked access, app unavailability, usage display delay, or reliance on the parental control and family management features.
    16. Personal Data
      1. By subscribing to and using the Service, you consent to the collection, use, disclosure, and processing of your personal data in accordance with Tune Talk’s Privacy Notice and applicable laws.
      2. Where Child Line management, parental control, verification, and account visibility features are involved, you acknowledge that relevant account and service information may be processed as necessary to enable the Service.
    17. Changes to the Service and Terms
      1. Tune Talk reserves the right at any time to modify, vary, withdraw, suspend, replace, or discontinue the Service or any of its features, pricing, line structure, benefits, or eligibility requirements.
      2. Tune Talk also reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time by publishing the updated version through the Tune Talk App, website, or other official channel.
      3. Your continued use of the Service after any such change shall constitute acceptance of the updated Terms.
    18. Governing Law
      1. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia.
      2. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
